How does Fargate differ from ECS?

Answer
ECS manages which containerised applications should be running. Fargate provides the resources those containers can run on, without you managing particular servers. They're cooperating parts, not two names for exactly the same service.
I can say: “I run the service in ECS, using Fargate.” I still choose the resources needed, the number of copies and the network configuration. Another option is using EC2 servers as the place where containers run. You don't need to know every platform option by heart, but it's worth being able to tell managing the application from the resources it runs on.
Why it matters: A very common mix-up of service names in the offer.
Possible follow-ups: Which maintenance tasks still stay with the team?
How did it go? Be honest — “Not yet” puts the question on your review list.
