How does Cloudflare differ from AWS?

Answer
They are two platforms with partly overlapping services, but different strengths and ways of organising an application. Cloudflare is strongly associated with its global network, traffic protection, CDN and code that runs close to users. AWS offers a broad set of compute, database, networking and integration services, often designed around a chosen region.
I wouldn't reduce it to “Cloudflare is the frontend, AWS the backend”. You can run a backend on both, and use both together. When choosing, I ask where the data is, what the requirements are, what the team knows and how we'll maintain the system. A Worker and a Lambda aren't perfectly equivalent either.
Why it matters: Lets you map your experience onto the company's requirements without pretending the services are identical.
Possible follow-ups: Does code close to the user still gain anything when it reads a distant database every time?
How did it go? Be honest — “Not yet” puts the question on your review list.
