What are Cloudflare Workers, and what does serverless mean?

Answer
Workers let you run code on Cloudflare's platform without maintaining particular servers yourself. A program can handle an HTTP request, change a response or do work after an event. Serverless here means the provider manages the servers, not that there are physically no servers.
An example is a small backend that redirects a click to the right campaign. You still need to choose data stores, handle errors and know the environment's limits. A variable in the memory of one invocation isn't automatically shared, durable state for all requests. Compatibility with Node libraries depends on the features and configuration used.
Why it matters: Helps you explain the edge layer from your CV clearly.
Possible follow-ups: Where would you store state that must survive a restart and be shared between requests?
How did it go? Be honest — “Not yet” puts the question on your review list.
